When it comes to choosing bedding that helps you sleep better, روتختی تشک طبی most shoppers fixate on high thread count numbers. But thread count alone doesn’t determine how comfortable your sheets will feel. The type of fabric used is just as important, if not more so.
Thread count refers to the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric. Numbers above 600 are often misleading and offer no real benefit. Manufacturers sometimes twist multiple thin threads to boost the count.
Fabric type plays a much bigger role in how sheets feel against your skin and how well they regulate temperature. Cotton quality varies dramatically depending on fiber length. Egyptian, Pima, and Supima cottons are prized for their fine, resilient fibers. They remain luxurious and resilient without needing an inflated count.
Linen, made from flax, is naturally cooling and gets softer with each wash, making it ideal for hot sleepers. Bamboo fabric is known for its silky texture and moisture wicking properties. It responds dynamically to your body’s temperature.
A high thread count on a low quality fabric won’t make you sleep better. Synthetic blends with inflated counts tend to lose softness and durability quickly. On the other hand, a 300 thread count sheet made from high quality long staple cotton or linen can feel incredibly soft, airy, and durable.
The weaving technique significantly affects feel and function. Percale delivers a clean, refreshing, and breathable surface. Sateen has a lustrous, soft finish with a subtle warmth.

The ideal sheet prioritizes fiber integrity over inflated numbers. Prioritize natural fibers with long fibers. Check the origin of the cotton. And don’t be swayed by inflated numbers.
The real test is how the fabric performs night after night. Better fibers lead to better rest.
