To activate real-time spelling detection in WPS Writer begin by opening the application and loading the document you wish to work on. After opening your file navigate to the top menu bar and click on the Review tab. In the Review panel locate the Spell Check section and ensure that the option labeled Spell Check While Typing is enabled. If it is not checked simply click on it to turn it on. WPS Writer will now highlight incorrect spelling instantly using a red squiggly underline.


In addition to enabling real time checking you may also want to customize your spell check preferences to suit your needs. To do this go to the Tools menu at the top of the screen and select Options. In the Options dialog box that appears choose the Spelling & Grammar tab. You can modify options including ignoring words in uppercase, ignoring words with numbers, wps下载 and ignoring internet and file addresses. You may also choose to enable grammar checking alongside spelling by selecting the Real-Time Grammar Analysis option if available.


WPS Writer automatically inherits your system’s proofing language so make sure your document language is correctly set. To change the language highlight the text you want to apply the language to, then return to the Review tab and click on Language. Choose "Set Proofing Language" in the list and choose the correct language from the list. Leave unchecked the "Ignore Spelling and Grammar" checkbox unless you specifically want to exclude that section from spell check.


If you encounter words that are correctly spelled but flagged as errors you can add them to your custom dictionary. Right click on the underlined word and select Add to Dictionary. WPS Writer will no longer flag this term as incorrect in any new or existing files. You can edit your personal dictionary via the Customize Dictionary button located in the Spelling & Grammar section of the Tools menu.


Finally, to perform a full manual spell check at any time simply press F7 on your keyboard or click the Spell Check button in the Review tab. The program will review every word in your file pausing at each suspected error and offering suggestions for correction. Select from: Ignore, Change, or Add to Dictionary After making your selections, continue until the spell check reaches the end of the document.


By following these steps and keeping automatic spell check enabled you can significantly improve the accuracy and professionalism of your documents with minimal effort. Regularly updating your custom dictionary and selecting the correct proofing language will ensure that your spell check remains accurate and reliable across all your writing projects.
